由培森吳老師和外教Nick傾情奉獻(xiàn),良心撰寫,不求好,只求親們多多點贊~
Are public gardens very important in China?
Well, you can call a public garden a park. I think parks play a very important "Green Lung” role in the cities. Trees in parks breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen, which people need. People in parks can enjoy the fresh air, the amazing view, the strong flower fragrances and the birds chirping in the trees.
Are there many public gardens in China?
Yes, there are plenty of public gardens in China. Take Hangzhou, for example. There is Mr. Hu Xueyan’sprivate garden, the richest merchant in the Qing Dynasty, and Mr. Guo's private garden. They used to be the rich men's private gardens, but now common people can access them freely.
Do you think there are enough public gardens in your hometown?
As far as I know, there are 52 parks and gardens in Hangzhou; some of them are free admission, others charge but are not very pricey. But I think the more parks the better, because the parks and gardens are very good places for people to relax and have fun.
What do you think are the benefits of having gardens in the city?
I think parks play a very important "Green Lung" role in the cities. Trees in parks breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen, which people need. People in parks can enjoy the fresh air, the amazing view, intoxicating flower fragrances and listen to birds chirping in the trees.
Why do people who live in cities like public gardens?
I presume there are two main reasons. To begin with, public gardens are places where various plants are grown which breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. People can enjoy fresh air there. In addition, people can do social activities in public gardens such as dancing, exercise and meeting up with new friends.
Do you think the government should provide public gardens for people to visit?
There is no doubt that the government should build public gardens for local residents which is one of their obligations. A true government is one of the people, by the people, for the people as AbrahamLincoln claimed. So the government should do what it can to make sure the city is a better place to live in.
Do you think the government should spend more money on public gardens for the cities or for the villages and small towns in the
countryside?
I am definitely more in favor of more public gardens in the cities because cities are densely populated and there is little greenery but enormous concrete jungles. In contrast, there is another picture in the villages and small towns in the countryside, where green plants can be seen everywhere. Therefore, the priority should be given to city dwellers.
Do these gardens play the same role for old people and young people?
Not really, because the old people have more leisure time to have a walk and jog in the park, whilst the youngsters are too busy to go to the park. So the old people can enjoy them more.
Do you think these gardens are more important for old people (e.g., retired people) or young(er) people?
I believe it's equally important. Both groups need gardens to socialize with others and relax.
Do you think it's more important to have public facilities, such as gardens and parks, foryoung people or for old people?
I believe it's equally important. Both groups need those facilities to socialize with each other and relax. So their needs should be taken into consideration.
Do you think gardens have any value for children?
Sure, parents or grandparents so often take theirchildren to the park and enjoy the fabulous views. They can learn how to walk, or run and chase in the park and breathe in the fresh air. Also, they can play games like "hide & seek", have a picnic, play on the swings or slides in the gardens. And they can also look at the flowers, as plants are also good for them to identify and appreciate.
Do you think gardens are important for children to see and play in?
Sure. Gardens provide children with spacious areas and interesting entertainment facilities. They can both get close to nature and have fun with other peers.
Which do you think is more important, public gardens or private gardens?
Undoubtedly the former one. Private gardens are only aimed at a small number of people, while public gardens are open to everyone.
